Minto Orchard Park

This is one of the more fun projects that I was able to work on. Minto gave us a fairly blank canvas to work on in creating the branding for the community. Along with overseeing all the creative elements and messaging, I also provided copywriting, a-frame mapping and management, rendering management, media planning, e-campaign management, and oversaw the design and asset management for our first digital touchscreen presentation.

With a community design centred around a central park feature and main street commercial development, we wanted to highlight the positive benefits of the project right, located on the site of a former orchard, right in the name. Design focused on youthful vitality, as the project promised to be popular with young couples, potentially with children.

Print and Ad Package

US NAHB Silver Award Winner: Best Graphic Continuity

Taking a page from the condo market, the brochure included two separate pieces, a community brochure and a separate handout folder for all plans, price lists and feature handouts. This two piece design resulted in an easy to carry brochure set that allowed couples to view different elements of the project at the same time, as one person could read through the community brochure, getting a feel for the community and its lifestyle, while the other studied the more detailed documents such as floor plans.

 
 

Retail Space

For the launch of the site's second phase, a new sales office was constructed. Since the scope of the community was so large, the sales office needed to reflect this. Therefore a spacious open concept plan was created with extra high ceilings to give the sales office that feeling of grandeur. The exterior featured an illuminated logo sign on the stone-clad wheelchair ramp wall and branded messaging along the side and rear facade.
